What is our passion?
At Brunswick Church, our passion is to proclaim that the kingdom of heaven is near. We are a place where people far from God are met with grace, mercy, and forgiveness. No matter what you’ve been through, or what questions you might have, we want you to be part of the family.
Our Vision is to grow as disciples who ADORE God, BELONG together in Christ, and COMMIT to serving others.
We define a disciple as someone who:
Adores God – by worshipping God and enjoying a growing relationship with Jesus Christ (Matthew 22:37, Psalm 95:6-7, Acts 2:42)
Belongs – by living in Biblical community with others (Hebrews 10:25, Acts 2:46)
Commits – by engaging in ministry and service, locally and globally (1Peter 4:10, Acts 2:37)
A Quick Summary of What We Believe
1. Jesus is the only Savior and Lord
2. The Bible is the foundation for our thinking and doing
3. Worship is vital to spiritual growth
4. Pursuit of spiritual maturity is expected of everyone
5. God’s will is discerned as we seek and cooperate with God’s leading
6. Authentic community is the best context for nurturing life change
7. God’s love is expressed in practical ways
8. Lost people matter to God and therefore they matter to us
9. The Holy Spirit gifts every Christian for service
10. Pursuing excellence honors God.
We are a modern congregation with a reformed theology, stressing the call to ministry of all believers, the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord, the authority of the Bible from God, and a call to service and the preaching of the gospel to the world.
Everything we do boils down to this…
God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8)
What to Expect on Your First Visit
We care about you, not what you’re wearing. We don’t care who you’re voting for in the next election, or how many tattoos you have. Feel to come in jeans or whatever is comfortable. Grab a hot cup of free coffee and sit wherever you’d like! We will NOT single you out publicly or ask you to say anything, and we do NOT expect guests to contribute anything financially.
We’re a church full of imperfect, broken people. We believe you belong! We LOVE it when someone comes for the first time. Feel free to say, “This is my first time” and we’ll welcome you and guide you in!
A fun, safe environment for kids.
Kids love it at Brunswick Church! Babies and toddlers are cared for by loving volunteers or are welcome to stay with you in worship. There’s an optional Kids’ Church (Xtreme Worship) for elementary-age children. All of our kid’s ministry volunteers must pass background checks and have a heart for kids and families.
Practical teaching that connects the words of the Bible to everyday life, and music that is lively.
We sing a blended mix of hymns and praise songs.
Everybody belongs – God loves all people. So do we. Everything else is secondary. We welcome every color, shape, background, and personality, and people with every kind of story imaginable. We trust the Bible completely even when we don’t fully understand it. And we do everything for the name and fame of Jesus Christ!
Services are 50-60 minutes long. Coffee mugs, kids, and questions are welcome.
We hope to meet you this Sunday!
Getting Here and Parking
The easiest place to park is to the back left of the big church buildings. Take the first driveway up the little hill and follow it back to the large North parking lot.
